*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
* Perform equipment repair, including electrical systems and heavy equipment operation.
* Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for assembly and disassembly tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy equipment operation.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
* Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
* A valid driver's license is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 42.5 per week
