Job Summary:
Understands practice, policies and regulations in any discipline not specific to one modality with an understanding of responsibilities, possesses working knowledge of procedures in own discipline specialty. Reports to the sr. operations director of radiology and is guided on clinical practice by the modality section chiefs. Is responsible for the overall function of their areas, responsibilities include; direct or delegated development and implementation of procedures, overall efficiency, productivity and quality of work performed by assigned staff. In addition, responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment. This role is not limited to a singular modality and is open to multi-modality operational coverage.Essential Responsibilities:
Represents the division on all technical leadership initiatives; including maintaining relationships with other managers to develop and coordinate department wide initiatives, acts as the primary representative of the division when interfacing with hospital department, physicians and nursing.
Influences and motivates staff behaviors in accordance with department policies and code of conduct, informs, trains and communicates to ensure team morale and effectiveness.
Provides direction, development and supervision of staff including interviewing, hiring and when necessary termination.
Ensures staff observance of hospital policy, department and if applicable radiation and MR safety practices and policies. Coordinates and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment used in their division.
Ensure utilization is appropriate for volume of procedures, monitors procedure mix and changes in technique, altering inventory levels if necessary.
Maintains, updates and revises divisions policy and procedure manual and ACR and all quality certifications where applicable.
Participates in department leadership team by ensuring technical excellence, high quality and safety in the care of patients, efficiency of service and high quality QA/QI program. Participates in continuous improvement projects through Lean initiatives and leadership.
Has the authority to direct and support managers with functional area responsibilities.
Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews. Direct Reports: 2-3 Indirect Reports: 51-100
Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of departmen
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
License, certification, and/or registry in the discipline of Radiology.
Radiology MA License for: Radiography, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography.
For CT required credentials include ARRT (R), ARRT (CT)
For Ultrasound/Vascular required credentials include ARDMS and RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist).
For Nuclear Medicine required credentials include ARRT (N) or NMTCB
For MRI required credentials include ARRT (MR) or AMRIT
For Breast Imaging/Mammography required credentials ARRT (M); or ARDMS.
For a multimodality Director position, at least 1 certification/registry in the discipline of oversight is required
Certificate Basic Life Support required.
3-5 years related work experience required and 1-3 years supervisory/management experience required
New hires will have 30 days to provide BLS certification. Certification has to be with the American Heart Association (AHA).
Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.

Pay Range:
$160,000.00 USD - $180,000.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
Anna Jaques Hospital is a 123 bed community hospital serving 17 cities and towns in the Merrimack Valley .
