This position plays a crucial role in supporting production by operating machinery to fabricate various one-off parts and tooling requirements and assisting the Aftermarket team in their operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Machine parts to specifications using manual machine tools like drills, lathes, and milling machines.
- Perform repair and restoration of parts to support the turbocharger service business.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, jaw attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Monitor machine feed and speed during the machining process, ensuring proper operation.
- Paint/Coat grooves of the parts for sealing
- Perform Heat Treatment of parts
WHO YOU ARE
This position is ideal for the entry level candidate that is interested in learning machining and growing within the field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to read and understand instructions, perform quality control, and adhere to safety guidelines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Capability to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings.
- Must have legal U.S. working authorization.
PREFERRED
- Forklift Driving Experience preferred
- Knowledge of precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of oilfield assemblies and parts
