The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is a critical member of the Honeywell Aerospace Security Organization, ensures compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), and interfaces with Honeywell Aerospace and government senior representatives to clarify and interpret requirements and resolve issues.
The ISSM is primarily responsible for maintaining the overall security posture of the systems within Honeywell Aerospace Security and is accountable for the implementation of the RMF. The ISSM serves as the principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of systems under their purview. The ISSM must be capable of effectively handling day-to-day operations and responding to security instances. Responsibilities of an ISSM include but are not limited to: Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the system security program and policies. Ensuring compliance with current cyber security policies, concepts, and measures when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing a new system. Overseeing the ISSO under their purview to ensure they follow established system policies and procedures. This is a detailed, task-oriented position that must be able to operate independently with absolute minimal supervision.
You will report directly to our cybersecurity leadership and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, Florida location on a 100% on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the security posture of aerospace systems by developing and enforcing cybersecurity policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident response efforts. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and integrity of systems that power modern aerospace technologies.
Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES:- Preparing, implementing and submitting Information System Security Plans and Protection Profiles using eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services).
- Work closely with local DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency) Representatives and government Information System Security Professionals (ISSP) to achieve system accreditation and maintain compliance in accordance with NISPOM & customers.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and computer security policies and procedures are implemented as defined in system security plans.
- Provide technical and user support for numerous standalone and network systems.
- Prepare materials for computer security education/awareness programs.
- Conduct investigations of computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management.
- Directing ISSO’s under their purview to ensure they follow established system policies and procedures.
- Working as System Administrator: Microsoft Windows.
Qualifications Must Have- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- DOD Secret Security Clearance at time of hire
- 10+ years of experience in an industrial security program, and knowledge of the DoD or other government security regulatory manuals
- 5 + years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and assignments
- 5 + years of experience working with RMF processes by 32 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program) & In-depth knowledge of DCSA Assessment and Authorization Guide (DAAG)
We Value- Bachelor’s degree related field preferred.
- System Administration experience with: Windows/Server and Windows 10 and 11
- Knowledge or experience with object-oriented programming languages, syntax, principles, and design (C#).
- Knowledge or experience with networking and security. (Networks, Domains, Servers, Certificates, Security)
- Ability to act as a resource on security policies and procedures
- Ability to present analysis with clarity and professionalism; must be comfortable interacting with senior level management and portraying a strong professional image
- Project management skills with the focus on timely completion of tasks and the ability to identify and assess a changing array of risks
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with all levels of personnel and management
- Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment with demands for high volume, good quality personal production
- Exhibit great organizational skills, an ability to prioritize tasks, be flexible in changing priorities as needed and can perform in a multi-tasked fast-paced environment
