Auxiliary Teacher/Coordinator

Job Description

Summary

Turning Point School is seeking a full-time Auxiliary Teacher/Coordinator to play a dynamic, hands-on role in our After School Programs. This position partners closely with the Associate Director, blending student supervision for Grades K–8 with program coordination to create enriching, well-run experiences beyond the school day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Provide Front Desk coverage during the school day and after school hours.

  • Support the Associate Director of After School + Summer Programs with administrative tasks and during after school dismissals.

  • Manage the SchoolPass calendar of after school activities including After School Programs, Athletics, Tutoring, etc.  

  • Manage and maintain the snack cabinet. 

  • Maintain after school supplies, locations, and storage areas.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Teacher Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support the care of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment 

  • Prepare for and clean up after class activities and in shared learning spaces 

  • Communicate and coordinate with Head Teachers regarding individual students as needed 

  • Support the preparation of indoor and outdoor learning environments in line with our whole child instructional philosophy 

  • Work with the instructional team to set behavioral expectations and help students stay accountable 

  • Actively participate in faculty culture committed to being at the leading edge of Preschool through Grade 8 education 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $24.00-$28.00/hour (based on experience, 10-month, non-exempt)

Work Schedule & Environment

This is a full-time, 10-month position. Regular hours are 9:30 am - 6:00pm, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities required.

The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods; using hands and arms for instructional activities; supervising students indoors and outdoors; and occasionally lifting classroom materials up to 25 pounds.
