Senior Market Sales Manager Position Summary To provide the management of the division's sales team to ensure consistent, high quality customer service and execution of programs to deliver budgeted results while aligning resources to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Essential Functions - Maximize volume and revenue in a defined geography in a direct store delivery go-to-market environment, leading all aspects of selling processes ensuring effective execution and service excellence.
- Provides strategic direction & leadership to ensure that the execution and market share of programs are met and maintained according to established company policy while delivering budgeted results.
- Maximizes sales and distribution of our products by working with employees and by building and maintaining relationships with customers to identify opportunities to increase the sales and profitability of the company through proper execution and use of Point of Sale materials, equipment, communication of price/value and securing displays.
- Directs staffing, training, and skill development of direct reports to allow for talent management and employee engagement goals to be met.
- Manages customer and client relationships while addressing sales operations issues to increase volume and margin.
- Improve and maintain levels of safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement throughout the facility and the designated territory.
- Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA, DOT and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws).
- Acts as a liaison with other departments (e.g. Production, Warehouse, Accounting, Human Resources) to ensure that all distribution needs are met and addressed.
- Supports a company-wide collaborative approach to business by providing recommendations on sales, marketing and retail execution initiatives that impacts the company.
- Provides for continued systems and process improvements to ensure that low-cost goals and efficiencies are met.
- Represent G&J Pepsi in the local community. Build strong community partnerships designed to enhance community impact in the region.
- Completes forecasts, headcount budget, job requisitions, business reviews, payroll changes, performance reviews and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time-off requests and timecards.
- Maintains confidentiality of promotions, pricing, CDA contracts, financial information, customer information profit and loss statements, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information) and other sensitive and confidential information.
- Provide guidance and sire level oversight for the location. Partner cross-functionally to maximize performance within the site.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education Level Minimum - 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience 5-7 - Progressively responsible sales and operational/logistics experience in a closely related position and 5-7 years of previous supervisory experience preferably in consumer-packaged goods industry with direct store delivery.
Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access.
Certificates & Licenses Valid Driver's license and must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.
Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed.
