Nabors Drilling Solutions is an oil and gas service company and a division of Nabors Drilling Technologies USA, Inc. With offices in Alaska, North Dakota, Northeast, Wyoming, East/South/and West Texas, we are positioned to service both the North American and International marketplaces. Our workforce, like our technology, is rapidly expanding and looking for a qualified Choke Technician.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in managed pressure drilling or under balanced drilling
  • High School Diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years' experience in managed pressure drilling or under balanced drilling preferred
  • Valid Well Control Certified

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This is a field rotational job, typically 2 weeks and 1 week off working 12 hr. shifts.
  • Schedule flexibility may be required to meet Customer drilling schedules
  • Valid Driver's License.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service multiple product lines in the shop and field. Including Well Control Chokes, Variable Rams, Mud Screen Assemblies and Automated Bleed off valves
  • Assist with installations, service calls, and or testing operations.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment in the field.
  • Operate, service, and repair equipment as needed
  • Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
  • Adhere to safety protocols and requirements, including PJSM's, JSA's, Quarterly Training Courses, Stop Cards Program and PTW's
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and electrical inspections.
  • Submit bi-weekly expense reports for fuel, lodging, travel and emergency parts purchases made in the field.
  • Track parts usage and maintaining adequate stock levels for repairs and/or rebuilds.
  • Submit weekly time sheets
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
