Centra has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Community Involvement Associate in Columbus, Indiana. The Community Involvement Associate supports the coordination, execution, and visibility of the Credit Union’s community engagement initiatives. This role assists in administering community programs, volunteer involvement, various Select Employer Groups (SEG), business development activities, and social media storytelling to enhance Member, Team Member, and community relationships. This position assists in ensuring community initiatives are well-planned, impactful, and aligned with the Credit Union’s mission and brand.

The starting wage for this opportunity is $20 per hour.  Hourly compensation is just one part of our total rewards approach. Essential Functions: This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform. 

  • Coordinates Team Member participation for events, prepares materials, and represents Centra as needed. 
  • Manages volunteer hour tracking, recognition efforts, and prize distribution to celebrate Team Member involvement. 
  • Coordinates community service projects and volunteer events that support Centra’s mission of People Helping People.
  • Documents and reports Centra’s community impact activities while supporting the planning, coordination, and organization of community programs and events. 
  • Collaborates with the Brand Experience team to create, monitor, and schedule social media content that highlights Centra’s community involvement. 
  • Communicates volunteer stories that highlight the positive contributions of Centra Team Members. 
  • Assists in evaluating partnership opportunities with local organizations to strengthen Centra’s presence in the communities we serve.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - (EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED): 

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory
    experience
