POSITION OVERVIEW
The School Counselor provides comprehensive counseling services and social-emotional support for boys in grades 9-12 within a dynamic boarding school environment. This role is responsible for creating a safe, structured, and supportive atmosphere that addresses the holistic developmental needs of students. As a compassionate mentor and collaborative partner, the Counselor delivers evidence-based therapeutic services, facilitates crisis intervention, and implements social-emotional learning initiatives to promote student well-being, resilience, and healthy adolescent growth. CFS seeks a flexible, supportive, and outgoing school counselor who aims to positively influence the lives of our scholars.

QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have the following:
• A master’s degree in counseling
• Certification as School Counselor
• At least five years' experience in a school setting
• Demonstrated experience with students, preferably boys of color, with a commitment to approaching counseling through a multicultural lens

· As we are a residential school, the School Counselor is expected to work some weekends and evenings and must be responsive to crisis situations during the school year.

· Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions within the framework of school policies and regulations.
