Cyber Security Manager

Job Description

This position will perform the functions of the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and System Administrator (Sys Admin). This position will be responsible to lead, develop and administer security procedures for classified computer systems based on the Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements and be responsible for on-going maintenance and management of network, servers, firewall and related hardware and software that secures the organization's network, analyzing and troubleshooting problems and monitoring for potential network security problems.

  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture rooted in open communication, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving. • Provide clear direction and strategic guidance to ensure the team of ISSOs successfully navigates complex compliance landscapes and maintains robust system security postures.
  • Provide top tier support administering and troubleshooting the core network services, i.e. DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SQL and Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Configure server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure for optimal performance in a hyper-converged environment and produce documentation of all infrastructure.
  • Oversee implementation of secure network architectures, customer IS requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures for assigned programs in compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM).
  • Applies technical expertise and has full knowledge of related disciplines by implementing technical solutions across various platforms.
  • Prepare and maintain security Assessment and Authorization documentation (e.g., IA SOP, SSP, RAR, SCTM) including participation in system categorization.
  • Ensure the development, documentation, and presentation of IS security education, awareness, and training activities for users and others, as appropriate.
  • Perform tasks related to compliance of Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) Plans (e.g., audit log review, security patching, software and hardware configuration management).
  • Investigate security incidents to include data spills, data integrity incidents, and malicious code incidents.
  • Conduct reviews and technical inspections to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses, and ensure that all security features applied to a system are implemented and functional.


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Information Security Certification (DoD Directive 8570.1 IAM Level II, CISSP, Security +, or similar)
  • Active SECRET security clearance
  • 5 years’ experience in security configurations across multiple operating systems in various environments, to include Windows, Linux, utilizing Active Directory/Group Policy, etc. is required.
  • 2 years’ experience in ISSM, System Administration or Network Administration with focus on certifying compliance of various operating systems.

WE VALUE
  • Experience administering the system functions including security policies and account management of Microsoft Windows and Server as well as Linux/Unix-based system.
  • Experience with accrediting information systems utilizing DCSA Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines
  • Experience with the following DoD security tools: SCAP, DISA STIG’s, Splunk, Nessus or ACAS
  • Experience with Virtualization – Installation, management and backup of virtual environment in a highly available environment.
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, be well organized, flexible, and self-motivated.

Must be US Citizen due to contractual requirements

The annual base salary range for this position is $193,200- 241,500. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
