Electrical Engineer I

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will engage in designing, analyzing, and testing electrical systems that support aerospace applications. You will contribute to innovative projects that enhance aerospace technology and ensure system reliability and safety.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on an On-site / Hybrid work schedule. For the first 90 days, new hires will work onsite M-F.

In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge aerospace power supplies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and regulatory standards.



Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the design and development of power supply design and analysis, including basic efficiency, stability, thermal, and EMI standards for aerospace applications.
  • Assisting or updating schematics, support for PBA layout, integration, or power electronic circuits. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of power supply design to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of systems integration and project delivery.


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
  • 1 year of experience in electrical engineering principles with a focus on power supply design or related discipline.
  • Fundamental knowledge of circuit design, simulation, troubleshooting, and hands-on design/testing ability while applicable to aerospace systems.
  • Proficiency in the following: creating electrical schematics, PBA layouts, DC-DC Power Supplies, measurement equipment, and tools.
  • Familiarity with EMI, Regulatory, and Thermal behavior. Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.

  • Knowledge of aerospace safety regulations and standards.
  • Experience with collaborative engineering tools and multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities specific to aerospace electrical challenges.
