Sr Procurement Buyer

Job Description

As a part of the Aerospace procurement organization, this role is responsible to align supplier delivery to Honeywell’s requirement dates to meet financial commitments and satisfy customers. Assigned a specific group of suppliers/parts, you will ensure that those suppliers have credible delivery plans and communicate with operations and planning teams to reconcile the master production schedule. Hold standard supplier status/ open order meetings, and support site/team meetings, to insure suppliers can support Honeywell demand and escalate any technical/quality issues quickly to avoid impacting production. Escalate gaps in commits both internally and at the supplier. Perform occasional one-off non-standard buys. Administrate purchase orders to ensure quality hardware is delivered on time. Understand material shortages and supplier’s capacity and capabilities. You will manage supplier forecast and PO acknowledgement process through Honeywell web portal. Your performance will be measured on performance via key metrics including missing commits, late commits, and decommits.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of Supply Chain experience or 7 years of Supply Chain experience in lieu of a Degree.

WE VALUE
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems (SAP)
  • Experience in manufacturing, specifically Aerospace
  • Experience in an automated EDI environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Good organizational - ability to prioritize and do problem solving, Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing.
  • Project Management Experience
  • Six Sigma Certification
