Supplier Quality Engineer I

Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting the quality and reliability of our suppliers' products and processes. You will play an essential role in ensuring that our suppliers meet Honeywell's quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will impact supplier quality by assisting in supplier audits, supporting root cause analysis, and helping drive corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a member of a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to ensure that our suppliers meet Honeywell's quality standards and strategy in the manufacture of components.
  • Coordinate disposition of non-conforming or suspect material with Honeywell Subject Matter Experts (SME).
  • Support supplier quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with Honeywell's quality standards
  • Assist in conducting supplier audits to assess supplier capabilities and identify areas for improvement
  • Be responsible for driving supplier performance improvement.
  • Be a representative in all AS9100 audits pertaining to Supplier Quality Engineering activities and supporting audits for Receiving/Inspection (R/I) processes.
  • Help drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Entry-level experience or internships in supplier quality engineering or related roles
  • Basic understanding of quality engineering practices and methodologies
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools, supplier audit processes, and quality metrics monitoring
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO or industry-specific standards is preferred
