Senior Director Strategy - Americas, Building Automation (BA) here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in owning and executing strategic plans that focus on growth, profitability, and market expansion across strategic areas of focus for the Building Automation (BA) Americas region. The strategic plan that you develop will be informed by an understanding of market trends, competitive intelligence, business needs, GTM models, and more, to drive growth through organic and inorganic strategies. You will regularly partner and engage with BA senior leadership, and your strategic vision, leadership skills, and ability to navigate complex business environments will be essential in driving success.
You will report directly to Chief Strategy Officer, Building Automation, and work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities- Develop and own 3 -5-year strategic plans, building upon a strong foundation to deliver above market growth for the business
- Translate 3-5-year strategy into executable operating plans
- Work closely with VPGMs to expand their core businesses, grow into adjacent spaces, and refine GTM models to drive growth
- Drive the growth of critical initiatives designed to double down into priority verticals and establish a long-term growth plan for the region
- Develop frameworks to support identification, incubation, and assessment of critical growth initiatives to align with business goals
- Identify and evaluate organic growth strategies by business and geography within the region
- Identify and evaluate inorganic growth strategies, including acquisitions, alliances, licensing, and partnership opportunities linked to the strategic plan
- Conduct fact-based analysis of market trends, competitive data, technology advancements, customer needs assessments, and new product developments
- Provide near term tactical support to develop and deliver monthly reporting on key initiatives and strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives
- Develop compelling written communications (white-papers, PowerPoint) to gain alignment and approval from C-suite
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, consulting, growth strategy and related roles
- Track record of developing, driving, and executing successful strategic plans
- Proven leadership and team management skills in a complex and matrixed environment
WE VALUE- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated track record of growing businesses within complex, globally matrixed organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate and execute across all levels in the organization, tailoring messages to C-Suite leaders
- Strong business sense with the leadership and functional ability to define and implement growth strategies that translate into practical actions
- Significant experience leading multiple, complex projects with changing priorities
- Experience leading and building a global team through ambiguity and evolving market dynamics
- Ability to forge solid relationships and lead across a broad and geographically dispersed business
- Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and deliver on complex situations with limited guidance or supervision
- Ability to consistently make efficient decisions, even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
