Position Summary, Manager of Equipment Engineering

The manager of Equipment Engineering will manage the NY Creates Equipment Engineering Team and the Equipment Support Team. These teams support the 24hr/7day operation of the 300mm facility at NY Creates.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with NY Creates standards and practices
• Report on department projects and goals
• Plan, Manage and assign projects to project leaders in the department
• Plan Semiconductor equipment installations, removals, upgrades and repairs
• Plan and monitor budgets for equipment purchase and installation
• Monitor communication to the teams on requests for department assistance
• Respond to reported issues, at times with a hands-on approach if needed
• Delegate tasks to the teams when receiving requests for equipment assistance
• Mentor engineers on NY Creates BKM's for a semiconductor environment
• Work closely with EH&S, Vendors, Tenants, Partners and HR to accomplish department and company goals
• Ensure support equipment is maintained, repaired and calibrated
• Specify, order and maintain specific department parts and supplies
• Advise on install and maintenance needs on semiconductor and support equipment
• Review and approve time-off requests, manage coverage schedules
• Hiring and onboarding of new department employees
• Other reasonable duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications, Manager of Equipment Engineering

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of technical or engineering management experience.
• Semiconductor processing or Semiconductor maintenance experience

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000

*Posted salary rates are determined upon experience and education
