Class A CDL/ Semi Driver - Adena Lakeland

Adena is seeking a Class A CDL/Semi Driver to support the safe and efficient transportation of construction materials and equipment to and from job sites across Florida and surrounding regions. This role is essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards while handling a variety of loads, including structural steel and heavy equipment.

1. Load and unload various types of heavy equipment using appropriate trucks and trailers
2. Transport structural steel, building materials, and permitted loads to designated project sites
3. Follow established load securement practices to ensure materials are transported safely
4. Inspect trucks and trailers for mechanical issues and safety concerns; perform routine preventative maintenance
5. Operate vehicles in full compliance with FMCSA and DOT safety regulations
6. Accurately document and log driving hours, rest periods, and required reports in accordance with DOT guidelines
7. Plan routes effectively and meet delivery schedules across interstate and intrastate routes
8. Ensure all vehicle and equipment safety devices are functioning properly
9. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
10. Performs other duties as assigned

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle required
2. Valid Class A CDL required
3. Clean driving record for the past 3 years (no violations)
4. Heavy equipment experience required
5. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
6. Must maintain Class A CDL and medical card
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Must possess good time management skills
9. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
