Your Mission:
The CNC Programmer Level II develops, manages, and verifies CNC programs for machines across the company with minimal supervision. This role includes advanced 3-, 4-, and 5-axis programming, fixture design, process planning, and project management to improve machine efficiency, part quality, and overall production performance.
Explore the Depth of the Role:
- Develop and process CNC programs using Mastercam for all machines in the company.
- Prepare process plans, including tool positioning, feed rates, spindle speeds, and tool changes.
- Design and implement fixtures using SolidWorks software.
- Verify programs using Vericut or equivalent simulation software.
- Determine part suitability for automation and assign machines based on efficiency and quality requirements.
- Manage programming projects from conception to completion, driving improvements in production efficiency.
- Collaborate with operators and team members to optimize workflow and maintain organized program files.
Requirements:
Mission Readiness:
- High School Diploma required; supervisory training or experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related position in the machine tool industry.
- Advanced proficiency with Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Vericut software.
- Knowledge of CNC machine operations, tooling, and machining centers.
- Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis programming and large workpiece setups.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally stoop, kneel, or climb; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
