The Senior Quality Engineer, as part of Quality Assurance Group in San Jose, CA, is responsible for providing quality engineering support to our manufacturing and design teams, and with our customers.
Responsibilities - Assure compliance with requirements defined by internal procedures, customer specifications, and the quality system
- Support programs by using your technical background to review data packages for compliance with requirements and support customer visits to facilitate selling-off products
- Audit processes/areas using your knowledge of ESD, FOD, 5s, and quality system requirement
- Review and Create First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in compliance with AS9102
- Apply knowledge of basic quality systems and requirements, corrective actions, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and root cause/failure analysis reporting to solve problems and improve processes
- Evaluate/Investigate and respond to customer concerns in a thorough and timely manner.
- Use knowledge of requirements to disposition non-conforming material and assess effectiveness of resulting action items
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 5+ years of experience in quality, electrical or electronics manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as they will be required to interface with engineers, customers, government agencies, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
WE VALUE
- A B.S Degree in Electrical or Process Engineering with 5 years of Qualtity Engineering experience is desirable
- Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, semiconductor manufacturing, machining, and mechanical assembly.
- Computer programming knowledge and/or use of a Access Database or SQL server.
- Ability to work effectively with a broad team of people and outside contractors
The annual base salary range for this position is $94,400 - $118,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
