Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle, from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.
The Propulsion Engine Control Systems Group is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development and integration of engine control systems for our propulsion gas turbine engine portfolio. In this role, you will ensure that current and emerging control systems meet evolving customer needs, acting as a technical focal point for internal stakeholders, a mentor to less experienced engineers, and a consultant to leadership.
Preferred candidates will have experience in engine control system development—particularly for gas turbines or internal combustion engines—along with customer interface experience. Knowledge of control systems, accessory components, and/or project engineering is also desirable.
You will be responsible for the development, qualification, and support of propulsion turbine engine control systems and related development equipment, with a focus on full authority digital engine control (FADEC) systems, especially the Electronic Control Unit. As a technical leader, you will help ensure that the ECU and associated systems meet the needs of internal and external customers.
