YourMission

As a Principal Technical Artist, willprovide supportbuilding and delivering key technologiesand workflows that enable artistsand designersto quickly implementvisual contentintoour games. The ideal candidate will have astrongeye forartquality and knowledge of real-time requirementsand constraints.He or she will act as a bridge between art and engineeringdemonstrating superior communication skills to facilitate problem solving between departments while addingnew ideas,new techniquesandworking withthe latesttechnologiesto createworld-classgames.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
  • Identifies and executes solutions to pipeline and technical inefficiencies within the studio
  • Collaborate with other discipline leads to improve studio tools
  • Establishconsistentand optimal bestpractices
  • Proactively identify problems, proposesolutionsand seek out buy-in regarding implementationstrategy
  • Demonstrate Leadership by mentoring junior and senior Technical Artist on team
  • Great communication skills to communicate with both technical and non-technical cross-functional team members and stakeholders
  • Self-starter who is able to identify and drive the priorities of team and work with production to buildout a roadmap


Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:
  • Advancedunderstanding of one or more commercially available real-time engines (e.g.UE4, Unity, CryEngine).
  • Artisticeyewithadvancedunderstandingof the creation & integration of 3D art
  • Advanced understanding of modern DCC tools
  • Shippedat least2 AAA titles from start to finish on multiple platforms(e.g.PS4, Xbox-One.)
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with regards to illustratingtechnicalprocesses.
  • Proficiency withPython,HLSL,GLSL
  • Experience working as a lead


Extra Points:
  • C++ experienceor Computer Science degree
  • Extensive portfolio with examples ofprofessionalwork(e.g.art, scripts, tools, simulations, etc.)
  • Blueprint or asset scripting abilities
  • Has managed and mentored a team

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $134,000.00 - $247,900.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
