| Job Summary | The Plattner lab studies the development and progression of cancer as well as how cancer develops resistance to current therapies. Examples of publications from the laboratory can be found at Nat Comm (2020) 11:5463; and Cancers (2023) 15(3), 954. The lab is currently seeking an individual to study how pediatric brain cancers develop resistance to targeted therapy (BRAF, MEK inhibitors), a project that will be funded in July, 2026. The applicant will be expected to work independently and publish 1st author publications working collaboratively with other Scientists, postdoctoral fellows and students in laboratory. Some examples of techniques that our laboratory routine performs include proliferation, survival, invasion, and apoptosis assays, kinase assays, ELISAs, qPCR, western blotting, cell culture, transfection, gene silencing, lentiviral infection, animal studies using xenograft, syngeneic, GEM, and PDOX models, immune monitoring, NextGen sequencing, single-cell RNAseq, etc. |
