As a Cyber Sec Archt/Engr II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions. You will work on fortifying defenses against emerging threats and assist in addressing technical challenges. You will work with product teams to author and maintain security documentation, manage risk, and remediate security issues. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix Deer Valley location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Execute product security process activities including threat modelling, security requirements definition, cyber test planning, and cyber risk assessments.
- Coordinate with program teams of engineers and developers in SDLC practices ensuring quality and compliance.
- Follow Aerospace defined processes to verify correctness and completeness of required cyber certification documentation and cyber security test activities.
- Help conduct continuous improvement activities that define, measure, visualize and improve key cyber security assurance metrics.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE- 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role
- Knowledge and basic skills about product security assessment, preferably aerospace products.
- Knowledge / Experience in the information security field
- Previous experience with designing and/or testing embedded systems.
- Security accreditation and certifications (CISSP/CSSLP CEH, OSCP, etc.)
- Understanding of application protocols, development, and common attack vectors.
- Good cybersecurity capabilities and strong software engineering skills
- Up to date knowledge of current and emerging security threats and techniques for exploiting security vulnerabilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Aerospace industry and the FAA compliance process is highly desired.
- Experience and knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools
