Machinist - Level 4

Job Description

As a Machinist - Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase savings and better serve our customers.

In this role, you will impact the future of Honeywell by driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our machining processes.


Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and components
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances of finished parts
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, tools, and equipment to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Proven experience as a skilled machinist with advanced knowledge of machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions.
  • Proficiency in operating manual machining tools.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance and repair.

  • Associate degree or technical certification in machining or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in precision machining roles.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
