About the Role
The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is currently seeking an Assistant, Associate or Professor of Pediatrics to provide inpatient care services within the Hospital Pediatrics Division. This position will primarily be responsible for directing patient care for admitted pediatric patients, writing daily progress notes, submitting clinical charges, and overseeing residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and ancillary staff in the delivery of care.

This role will include participation in night and weekend on-call coverage as assigned by the division chief, as well as providing teaching and mentorship to pediatric residents and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care. In addition, the faculty member will have opportunities to attend regional, national, and/or international scientific meetings and serve on Kentucky Children’s Hospital and College of Medicine committees as needed.

Golisano Children’s at UK, part of UK HealthCare and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, is a leading academic pediatric referral center serving Central and Eastern Kentucky and surrounding regions. The hospital delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care across more than 24 pediatric specialties and serves as a tertiary and quaternary care center for complex conditions. Key clinical capabilities include a Level IV NICU, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, and dedicated pediatric intensive care units.
The University of Kentucky Department of Pediatrics plays a central role in advancing pediatric care, education, and research across the institution. Faculty are actively engaged in medical education, clinical research, and program development, working within a highly collaborative environment alongside experienced pediatric specialists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
