Overview

The Jones Lab is developing next-generation covalent chemical biology with the objective of expanding the druggable proteome. We seek a highly motivated individual to join our collaborative research efforts as a POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW who will work on chemical biology projects directed towards the development of novel therapeutic modalities.

We are based at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Longwood Center, and we have access to state-of-the-art facilities for chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, structural biology, and mass spectrometry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply biochemical, biophysical, and cellular assays to enable the development of chemical probes suitable for cellular and in vivo pharmacological validation
  • Screen compounds; analyze and interpret data
  • Explore and elucidate molecular modes-of-action of chemical probes
  • Maintain accurate lab records and documentation
  • Contribute to publications and grant proposals.
  • Stay current with scientific advances in the fields of chemical biology and screening technologies, and apply emerging techniques and insights to their own research
