Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Advanced Quality Engineering team for the applicable designated Customer Business Unit(s), including, but not limited to: training, mentoring, establishing goals, performance reviews, collaboration amongst other AQMs (regular meeting cadence), etc.
2. Successfully manage all resource demands, ensuring proper allocation with capable, skilled individuals
3. Support quote process (until resources assigned): ...creation of Phase 1 Quality Workbook, including cross-functional engagement with the applicable YFAI Manufacturing plant(s)…. target setting, quote process, attending customer reviews/SDT meetings, etc.
4. Support all Quality quotes, MSA plans, gauge plans/execution, OK to Ship reviews, dimensional evaluations, Control Plan development, etc.
5. Ensure all internal launch and customer Advanced Quality Planning deliverables are completed on time, to the required quality expectations. APQP (PMP deliverables to be understood and up-to-date (Who/What/When) for Launch/Program Reviews (e.g., Quality deliverables in the Gate Workbook – PSMC, Safe Launch, etc.), ensuring a successful YFAI Manufacturing plant hand off, etc.
6. Thorough program engagement; an active member of all applicable Program Reviews, LRR reviews, Red Flag Meetings, and launch support plans, etc.
7. Drive the Advanced Quality Team to achieve the YFAI 0-0-0-90-100 launch metric
8. Support the preparation and on-time delivery of all PPAP packages for submission and approval by the Customer, ensuring a plan to meet on-time PPAP and Customer invoice timing
9. Support efforts to improve Quality performance throughout the organization by analyzing Advanced Quality metrics, applicable Operational COPQ, Customer Incidents, Customer score cards (Quality expertise), and associated metrics
10. Develop, lead, and maintain training initiatives to applicable Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) within the YFAI NA organization. Act as the CSR expert for applicable Customer business unit(s), holding quarterly reviews with applicable YFAI Manufacturing plants/launch teams on any updates/changes.
11. Ensure the Advanced Quality team is following Quality Management Systems during product/process/launch development (e.g., IOS, YFIMS, IQS, IATF 16949, VDA, etc.)
12. Provide YFAI plant operational support, as needed, for problem solving (e.g., root cause and robust PCA evaluations), internal/external audit preparation, etc.
13. Support efforts in optimizing plant Operational Quality performance and associated scorecard metrics.
14. Establish and maintain exceptional customer-facing relationships, resulting in excellent customer satisfaction
15. Conduct all work activities following company safety policies and procedures
16. Perform other duties as assigned by the BU Quality leader
Specific Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering or Science with at least 10 years of related work experience.
