Billing and Cash Application Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Manage, maintain and reconcile A/R General Ledger accounts including reconciliation of A/R and Unapplied sub ledgers to their related General Ledger accounts. This will include preparation of reporting and audit schedules, interaction with internal and external auditors, and interaction with multiple functional groups to resolve batch and sub ledger issues.
  • Work closely with Property Management to ensure Recurring Billing and Escalation translates properly into the billing run and into straight line revenue recognition. This requires an expert knowledge of Property Management, AR sub ledger process, General Ledger, and GAAP including revenue recognition and ASU 840.
  • Provide direction and serve as the subject matter expert to Property Management to ensure accurate interpretation and proper recognition of license revenue.
  • Coordinate the A/R conversion and verification of all Licensing information for new acquisitions into the J.D. Edwards System.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce a process to minimize unapplied cash. This requires an expert knowledge of CM&R processes, JDE unapplied AAIs, and reporting and analysis skills.
  • Ensure proper service revenue recognition per generally accepted accounting principles and company policy. This will require effective communication skills to train and support service business users.
  • Manage the team through their processing of invoices and cash application to ensure it is done timely and accurately
  • Maintain a relationship with our banks and with the Treasury group to resolve lockbox and remittance issues and to resolve cash reconciliation issues.
  • Develop and maintain billing and cash applications policies and procedures and assure SOX compliance.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, train and develop Billing and Cash Application staff.
  • Ensure that individual objectives are established and reviewed using the performance management process to reward excellence and address sub-par performance.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education / Certifications
  • Accounting or related field Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Required
  • 5+ of general accounting experience including three (3) years of supervisory experience Required
Where you will work

This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Friday and Monday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.

Compensation

The pay range offered for this position is $89400 - $122900 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives
