A small, student-focused charter school in Phoenix is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Junior High History Teacher to join our team!


Position Overview:
We are looking for an educator who can make history engaging, relevant, and meaningful for students in Junior High. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity about the past while helping students develop critical thinking, analysis, and discussion skills.


Responsibilities:

· Teach history/social studies to junior high students (grades 6–8)

· Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans

· Encourage thoughtful discussion, inquiry, and historical analysis

· Integrate primary sources, projects, and real-world connections

· Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

· Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

Qualifications:

· Valid Arizona teaching certification (or ability to obtain)

· Experience teaching middle school or junior high history preferred

· Strong classroom management and communication skills

· Passion for history and student engagement
