The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our Segal Marco investment consulting team in Canada. This hybrid position is based in Toronto and will require quarterly travel to client meetings across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Sudbury. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive investment advisory solutions and services to institutional clients, with a focus on multi-employer pension plans and health and welfare plans. The role emphasizes client-facing leadership, portfolio and investment strategy oversight, and investment manager due diligence within the Canadian marketplace.
The Role: As a Consultant, the successful candidate will bring demonstrated investment consulting experience with pension funds and benefit funds. This is a highly client-facing role focused on providing strategic investment advice, analyzing capital markets and investment manager performance, and presenting recommendations to Board of Trustees. Key areas of subject matter expertise include:
· institutional investment consulting, capital markets expertise, investment strategies, and relationship with investment managers community;
· Market analysis, portfolio performance monitoring, asset allocation, investment manager selection and oversight, risk management, compliance and plan governance;
· contributing to thought leadership, supporting business development, supporting colleagues and junior staff, and collaborating on client deliverables.
