 COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

  •  Operations Analyst I - $57,200 - $70,060
  • Operations Analyst II - $70,320 - $87,890

  Join our team as an Operations Analyst!

The Operations Analyst plays a key role in developing and maintaining the processes, procedures, and controls used by real-time Operations personnel. This position ensures that all operational activities align with applicable standards, tariffs, protocols, and regulations—supporting the reliable delivery of electric service.

This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations Reliability, Engineering, and Market Administration, to support and enhance operational tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain operational processes, procedures, and controls
  • Support real-time Operations through tools, analysis, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational solutions
  • Analyze performance data and recommend improvements
  • Apply industry standards and ensure compliance with governing requirements
  • Assist with project management, including planning, coordination, and execution
  • Support stakeholder engagement, meetings, and documentation
  • Contribute to quality assurance efforts, including audits and process reviews

 To be successful in this role, we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline;  Two (2) years of relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Operations Analyst I - No job experience required
  • Operations Analyst II - Two (2) years of relevant job-related experience (in excess of degree requirements above)

Required:

  • Ability to handle most types of assignments or tasks independently, regardless of complexity or difficulty
  • Broad knowledge or experience in field
  • Ability to coach junior analysts in some assignments or tasks
  • Strong inter-personal, oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • General proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Project Management concepts and tools
  • Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures

Preferred:

  • NERC System Operator Certification
  • Working knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, SPP Criteria and applicable OATT Business Practices, SPP Market Protocols and SPP Operations functional procedures
  • Knowledge of the measurements, functionality and data interfaces of applications used in Quality Assurance programs

 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.

 Travel Requirement:

This position requires minimal travel (approximately 0-10%).
