Job Summary

The Communications Specialist will support the corporate communications strategy for Oldcastle APG and Oldcastle Infrastructure, CRH companies. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role will bring fresh ideas to enhance external communications as part of the broader corporate communications strategy, while also partnering closely with brand marketing teams to deliver PR support across the portfolio. The Communications Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to tell the full story of the business-strengthening reputation, elevating executives and brands, and ensuring clear, consistent communications across audiences.

Job Location

This position will be located at our corporate HQ in Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

  • Specialist will work closely with Communications Manager and senior leadership to support day-to-day integrated internal and external communications
  • Act as liaison with outside vendors and agencies as appropriate
  • Execute strategies and plans that are consistent with company and individual business units' goals
  • Help ensure communications are on message, consistent in their quality and delivery, and measurable in their results
  • Build and manage relationships; become immersed in Oldcastle APG business functions
  • Develop deep understanding of varied communications needs as it relates
  • Work across teams and divisions to support various corporate initiatives
  • Create content for APG social media channels and publish to company profiles


Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience that includes writing in fields such as journalism, public relations, communications, law or government
  • Degree in English, Journalism or similar category preferred
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex and sensitive materials into compelling and persuasive content that will connect, and impact intended audiences
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to manage positive client relationships and lead cross-functional initiatives effectively
  • Experience using Adobe suite (PhotoShop, InDesign, etc.) is a bonus but not required
  • Be familiar with creating content for and using social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok
  • Up to 10% overnight travel
