Overview
The Sr Scientist works on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Has a wide latitude for decision-making working in conjunction with the PI. Works closely with senior managers and directors on unit/lab issues. Manages the work efforts of at least one individual contributor, mentor's other lab members, and completes performance appraisals. Contributes broad knowledge of the field, strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and scientific creativity.
