The HTF Project Engineering team has an immediate opening for a project engineer with a strong turbofan engine background to support an exciting new engine development program as the Fan Module Lead. You will partner with world class engineers and leaders to plan and execute complex technical projects. You will organize and manage an interdisciplinary team to develop & deliver technical projects as part of the larger engine team while staying on schedule and on budget.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities - Project Planning & Execution: Lead comprehensive planning, execution and management of aerospace projects to ensure successful delivery on time and on budget. Present project status to senior executives and customers.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Direct large, multidisciplinary teams across all phases of new product development, including design, analysis, testing and certification.
- Strategic, Forward - Thinking Risk Reduction: Collaborate with cross-functional team to reduce technical & certification risk on a new engine centerline
- Customer & Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to define scope, manage expectations and support development activities.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Own cost accounts, forecast budgets, track earned value and drive Agile scheduling to meet program milestones.
- Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify, assess and mitigate project risks while proactively pursuing opportunities to enhance program outcomes.
- Process & Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal processes and aerospace industry standards.
Qualifications US PERSONS REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum 15 years of experience in design, development and/or test of gas turbine engines, nacelle systems, engine control systems or other complex mechanical systems
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Microsoft Project, Agile Scrum/Kanban, Earned Value Management System)
WE VALUE - Proven leadership in complex technical projects, including cross-functional team coordination and customer/supplier engagement.
- Expertise in FAA 14 CFR Part 33 certification of engines.
- Strong project management capabilities and experience in earned value management.
- Proactive risk management, including early identification of cost/schedule risks and execution of effective mitigation strategies.
- Systems engineering and requirements management experience.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for winning and urgency in execution.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey complex messages clearly and build constructive relationships.
- Adaptability and initiative, including tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work independently.
- Effective prioritization of time and resources.
