Production Planning Supervisor

Job Description

As a Production Planning Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will lead and oversee the production planning activities to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing operations that meet customer demands and business objectives.

In this role, you will impact the optimization of production schedules, resource allocation, and inventory management to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the aerospace manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production planning activities to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules, balancing supply and demand to optimize inventory levels and minimize lead times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to resolve production issues and improve process efficiency.
  • Ensures that KPI and other visual management boards are maintained. Reacts to metrics, implementing processes to improve metrics.
  • Introduces, motivates and coaches continuous improvement with department team and processes
  • Identifies problems, such as part shortages or process issues, and facilitates resolution or elevates the problem/issue to manager
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate waste, makes suggestions and participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage and control all on hand materials to support the manufacturing process


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years’ experience in supply chain or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems
  • Experience in applying Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies to enhance production processes.


WE VALUE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or related high-precision industries.
  • Knowledge of SIOP processes, MRP/MPS systems, and materials management.
  • Project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
