The Library Services Department in the USF Tampa campus library supports USF faculty and graduate student research productivity and teaching by being the front point of contact for many of our patrons and managing varied functions, including circulation, course reserves, and stacks management. Our daily work brings us into contact with globally recognized faculty and researchers. Job Description:

The Stacks Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the USF Tampa campus library by assisting with the organization, maintenance, and accessibility of library collections. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the library stacks are orderly, clean, and easy for patrons to navigate. Student assistants also provide basic directional assistance to library users and support departmental projects that enhance library services and resources.

  • Be a current USF Student.

  • Keeping the book stacks dusted, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Assisting patrons with direction assistance and locating library materials.
  • Assists with shelving, shelf reading, and shifting library materials.
  • Retrieving materials using call numbers and searching for items in the library stacks.
  • Assist supervisors in projects to further enhance the library and its resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
