Get to Know This Role
The Commercial Compliance Specialist will serve as an internal and external liaison for the Legal & Compliance Department. Reporting to the Commercial Compliance Manager, this role will provide high-level regulatory support in a fast-paced, complex administrative environment. This role provides relevant trainings related to regulations, compliance and internal processes to departments across the organization. This role is key to the success of the Legal & Compliance department, which is responsible for administering and maintaining the constant flow of complex data required for effective regulatory support, department document management, licensing, reporting, pricing and product commercialization.

What You Will Do
  • Regulatory Support
    • Trade Practice communication and research
    • Trademark/ Intellectual Property research and guidance
    • Provide license support as pertains to product registration
    • Perform pricing administration (add or remove pricing, submit price posts and post-off's)
    • Conduct internal department audits
    • Prepare Customs documents 
    • Prepare Federal and State regulatory filings (operational and tax related)
    • Proofing of all graphic, advertising, and promotional material to be published
    • Prepare, submit, and track all product registration
    • Consistent, accurate, and timely record keeping of documents and resources
    • Confirm process of production for all non-standard products (non-beer, gluten removed, non-alc, etc.)
    • Remain knowledgeable on Regulatory & Compliance matters such as Bottle Bill/EPR, CFR Title 21, Federal Alcohol Administration (FAA) Act, and industry advertising standards.
    • Update SOP's and resources appropriate to job duties
  • Perform administrative duties in support of the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Department
    • Maintain document management and retention
    • Responsible for monitoring department inbox
    • Organize and manage documents and collateral related to key job duties
  • Protects organizational value by keeping information confidential
  • Training
    • Provide periodic trainings to operations, administration, marketing, and sales on topics relevant to these positions (ie: exempt ingredients, labeling requirements, advertising standards, trade practice regulations)
       
Please Apply if You Have
  • Associate's Degree required or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
  • 2 years increasingly responsible administrative support experience required
  • Experience in state/federal brand registration and product registration preferred
  • Beer industry experience preferred
  • Experience working with Government agencies preferred
  • Experience in state and federal business licensing preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in prioritizing duties autonomously
  • Strong communication skills: interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and cross-functional business partnerships
  • Ability to utilize and integrate data from various sources, accurately interpret data, and appropriately apply findings to business issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality while handling sensitive information
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Superior reading and comprehension skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
