Programmatic Success Manager

Job Description

Are you a programmatic advertising expert ready to drive revenue and innovation at scale? Scripps is seeking a strategic Programmatic Success Manager to manage end-to-end programmatic advertising across our digital and connected-TV inventory. This role offers the opportunity to optimize complex campaigns, deliver data-driven insights, and serve as a subject matter expert while contributing to the overall success of our programmatic revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage and execute the planning, trafficking, and monitoring of programmatic campaigns across all digital platforms, ensuring KPIs are met
  • Independently perform campaign optimizations to maximize yield and advertiser outcomes, troubleshooting and resolving complex delivery issues
  • Oversee the completion of projects and assignments, such as implementing new PMP strategies, testing new partners, and developing improved reporting workflows
  • Identify key barriers in campaign performance or operational efficiency and implement effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated campaign and inventory performance reports; translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for sales and ad ops teams
  • Serve as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams, providing guidance on programmatic capabilities, inventory, and campaign strategy
  • Validate the quality and integrity of campaigns, ensuring compliance with brand safety, viewability, and privacy standards (GDPR/CCPA)
  • Provide input and recommendations for new tools or partners to enhance monetization, based on deep knowledge of ad tech trends
  • May act as a resource or mentor for junior team members, reviewing progress and accuracy of their work
  • Participate in client-facing communications to discuss campaign performance and programmatic strategies

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SSPs, ad servers, DMPs, and DSPs, with hands-on experience managing complex programmatic campaigns (CTV/OTT experience strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems and perform advanced data analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for various audiences
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment to determine the best approach for achieving desired outcomes
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee assignments from planning to completion
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $95,000.00 - 105000


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
