Overview
The Learning Experience Developer (LXDev) plays a key role in advancing Dana-Farber’s workforce development strategy by designing and producing high-quality, learner-centered training solutions. This role is responsible for developing engaging digital and instructor-led learning experiences, including eLearning modules, multimedia content, job aids, and blended learning materials that support a wide range of organizational needs.Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. The Learning Experience Developer (LXDev) supports Dana-Farber’s workforce development goals by producing high-quality, learner-centered, engaging learning experiences. Leveraging various authoring tools and multimedia platforms, the LXDev develops a wide range of materials—such as eLearning modules, video-based tutorials, just-in-time job aids, and resources for instructor-led or blended courses—to meet diverse learning needs.
Guided by principles of user-centered design and adult learning theory, the LXDev collaborates closely with learning experience designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to translate learning objectives into
practical, engaging solutions. This includes ensuring proper integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS), adhering to SCORM or xAPI specifications, and applying accessibility guidelines to deliver inclusive learning experiences.
Throughout development, the LXDev conducts iterative testing and quality assurance to validate functionality, navigation, and user engagement. By maintaining a keen focus on emerging technologies and best practices, the LXDev helps the Institute create flexible, scalable, and measurable learning solutions that effectively support workforce development.
As a vital member of a small, adaptable team, the LXDev may also engage in the full learning development process, including traditional instructional design activities such as meeting with stakeholders to understand learning needs, defining learning outcomes, and designing content.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
