As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead complex engineering projects from concept through completion, applying advanced technical expertise and project management skills to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer and business needs.
You will report directly to our Program Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Own and drive Honeywell engineering effort required to qualify new suppliers for Honeywell designs
- Own and execute technical interface with suppliers, assuring that they understand our requirements and assisting them to succeed
- Identify and evaluate potential supplier capabilities
- Evaluate drawing requirements and coordinate updates with engineering design authority
- Research current part history, defects, drawing deficiencies.
- Propose qualification and transition plans for transitioned parts
- Provide on-site supplier visits and status
- Assist with product and process certification
- Ensure project and product compliance
- Assess and communicate technical risks
Travel up to 30%
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering
- 5 years of engineering experience in Aerospace systems and components
- 2 or more years of Casting Forging Experience and/or process knowledge

- Experience in the design, development, test, qualification and certification of Aircraft systems, components and/or propulsion systems
- Understanding of basic export regulations
- Ability to drive execution of organizational objectives within the Honeywell technical community through effective communication, collaboration and leadership
- Ability to adapt to project changes and changing priorities
- Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks and people
- Six Sigma DFSS and Greenbelt certification or equivalent
