The Environmental Compliance Assistant provides support to the university's environmental compliance programs. The Environmental Compliance Assistant reports to the Safety and Compliance Manager who falls under Environmental Health and Safety. Responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks, data management, field data collection and research related to wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater. The role helps maintain accurate environmental data and assists with compliance activities.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two or more years of experience in an office or administrative support position. College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis. Testing may be required to assess competency on word processing software.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications: Degree or obtaining a degree in a related field, and/or experience in environmental compliance (stormwater, environmental programs, environmental inspections, regulatory environmental agencies, etc. )
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Experience with office productivity tools including spreadsheets, word processing, and basic database systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and analytical methods. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently.
