Ward Clerk

Job Description

Heritage Hall is currently recruiting for a Ward Clerk. The Ward Clerk is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day recording and charting of medical and administrative information. They assist residents with scheduling appointments, transportation to different areas of the facility and answer non-medical resident questions. Other duties of the Ward Clerk involve assisting the nursing staff as directed. Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CNA license in the state of Virginia
  • One year of experience as a CNA or ward clerk in a Long-Term Care facility is preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of MDS assessments
  • Knowledge of clinical computer software applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
