Advanced Project Engineer

Be part of the Auxiliary Power Unit Project Engineering team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Power Systems for the G570 APU System. This position will be a key focal within the Project Engineering team, working directly with Project Leadership, the Customer and a cross-functional team.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support and Lead systems and test engineering efforts for the G570 APU Program, including requirements management, system integration, and engine development/qualification test efforts.
  • Communicate with team leadership and the customer regarding program status
  • Execute technical scope within allocated budget and schedule.
  • Complete monthly budget and schedule updates (CAM activities).
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project, Systems, or Test engineering


WE VALUE
  • Technical knowledge of Gas Turbine Engines (APU or propulsion systems).
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies, including scheduling tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
  • Experience in budget planning and resource management.
  • Experience with aerospace control systems, mechanical applications, and/or aerospace components (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated individuals who take initiative and perform effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical writing and customer communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
