Job Description
As an Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination.
You will report directly to our Sr. Program Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. External hires will begin with 90 days on site before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid schedule.
In this role, you will impact the company's success by ensuring the successful execution and delivery of complex engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and support projects to resolve service revealed difficulties (SRD), support supply chain transitions and manufacturing quality issues
• Work with functional experts to identify root cause and corrective actions for complex and ambiguous technical challenges
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Develop technical change proposals for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) customers to resolve SRDs and other technical issues
• Proactively manage and mitigate project risks to maintain project performance
• Provide technical guidance and support to newer team members
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• 6+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles
• Prior experience and technical knowledge of gas turbine engines
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex engineering projects
• Experience in risk management and problem-solving to mitigate project risks and issues effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
