The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Program Coordinator with Extension in Las Vegas, NV. 4-H Healthy Living programs focus on developing holistic wellness in youth through three main pillars: Body (nutrition, fitness, safety), Mind (mental health, stress management, substance abuse prevention), and Leadership (serving as health champions). The Program Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative oversight and support for program operations, including coordinating events, managing documentation, maintaining databases, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. They serve as the primary point of contact for program inquiries, facilitating communication between stakeholders, participants, and leadership while developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners. The Coordinator implements outreach strategies to promote program visibility, manages recruitment efforts, and coordinates program activities including orientations, meetings, and special events. They are responsible for collecting and analyzing program data, preparing assessment reports, tracking outcomes, and making recommendations for program improvements based on evaluation findings. Additionally, the Coordinator takes on special projects as assigned, assists with budget monitoring, and provides general support to ensure the successful implementation of program initiatives and achievement of objectives.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR
Master’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience
Related Experience: Experience in program coordination, management, or similar role, experience in positive youth development or a related field.
Certification and Licensure
A Valid Driver’s License
CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
Successful fingerprinting/background check.
Schedule and Travel Requirements
Variable work schedule
Frequent travel within assigned locations and across Clark County
Work and travel for day and overnight camps throughout the year
