Procurement Buyer II

Job Description

As a Procurement Buyer II here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in managing and executing procurement activities with a focus on compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR). You will ensure efficient purchasing processes that support our strategic objectives while maintaining strong supplier relationships and cost-effective procurement solutions.

You will report directly to our Procurement Manager, and you’ll work out of our Glendale, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule after your initial 90-Day introductory period.

In this role, you will impact the company by ensuring procurement compliance with federal regulations, optimizing supplier performance, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage procurement activities ensuring compliance with FAR and DFAR regulations.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor procurement processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure adherence to internal policies and federal compliance standards.


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) in procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier contracts effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools relevant to federal contracting environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
