HSE Technician

Job Description

As an HSE Technician here at Honeywell, you will be essential in fostering a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting sustainability while supporting a dedicated team of HSE professionals, managing safety protocols, and collaborating with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

In this role, you will impact our organization by supporting the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices. Your efforts in driving continuous improvement in HSE performance will not only protect our workforce but also enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Your ability to identify safety initiatives and advocate for HSE practices will contribute to the overall resiliency and sustainability of our business.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Supports all Company, Health, Safety, and Environmental programs.
  • Completes weekly collection of hazardous waste/inspections of collection areas.
  • Conducts annual chemical inventory across all sites.
  • Acts as POC and escort for HSE contractors and vendors.
  • Maintains the HSE and Industrial Hygiene calibration program.
  • Provides support to HSE committees and actively participates on each of the teams.
  • Conduct EHS orientation
  • Conduct periodic inspections of the First Aid Stations, AED’s, fall protection equipment, first aid kits, eyewashes, safety showers, fire extinguishers, ladders, SPCC kits.
  • Conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling activities including but not limited to ventilation surveys and ergonomic assessments.
  • 10% travel

  • Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of safety programs and procedures
  • Providing training to employees on safety protocols and procedures
  • Investigating incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety and environmental compliance
  • Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to address safety concerns and implement improvements


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 360
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent relevant work experience and certifications will be considered
