Job Description

As a Lead R&D Tech here at Honeywell, you will spearhead research and development initiatives, driving innovation and technical excellence in product development. You will play a pivotal role in leading technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring advanced solutions from concept to reality.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the advancement of Honeywell’s technology portfolio by applying your expertise to develop and refine cutting-edge products and processes. Your leadership will ensure the successful execution of R&D projects that align with business goals and customer needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop and validate new technologies and products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshoot technical challenges throughout the development lifecycle.




Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Extensive experience in research and development within a technical or engineering environment, demonstrating strong project leadership skills.
  • Deep knowledge of product development processes and the ability to apply advanced technical concepts to solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency with R&D tools and methodologies, including experimental design, data analysis, and technology validation.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality products.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

The annual base salary range for this position is $71,000 - $89,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
