Field Service Manager

Position Summary

Oversees general field services—meter operations, service orders, line locates, customer appointments, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor daily routes; ensure ticket SLAs and quality standards are met.
• Manage AMI/AMR exceptions, rereads, turn‑ons/offs, and tamper investigations.
• Coordinate utility locates and customer communications; resolve escalations.
• Maintain fleet, handhelds, and inventory of meters/endpoints and parts.
• Track KPIs (completion rate, first‑time fix, exceptions) and implement improvements.
• Coach and develop technicians; enforce safety and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years field services/metering with 2+ years lead/supervisor experience.
• Knowledge of AMI/AMR systems and utility locating standards.
• Valid driver's license; strong customer service.

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma required; technical coursework preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Field‑based role with frequent driving, outdoor work in varied weather, and exposure to traffic, confined spaces, biological/chemical hazards, energized equipment, and uneven terrain.
