SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Inventory Clerk II.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: This position is on-site in theSEACORP Middletown facility supporting all program areas by implementing theShipping and Receiving portion of SEACORP’s Property Control Procedures. The Inventory Clerk will execute related inventory control taskssuch as internal audit, inventory storage, and inventory databaseadministration. Common tasks include scheduling pickups for commercialshipping, sorting packages, scanning, digital filing, maintaining records, and issuingassets to requestors. Those who are detail oriented, have excellentorganization and communication skills, as well as prior inventory-relatedexperience are encouraged to apply.

JobResponsibilities include:

  • Sign for receipt of deliveries and take custody of incoming assets.
  • Receive, track, and distribute electronic and mechanical components/parts.
  • Prepare items for shipment and schedule commercial shipping pickups.
  • Learn and implement SEACORP’s standard procedures for Receipt of Government Property.
  • Work closely with SEACORP’s Government Property Manager to ensure continued compliance with FAR/DFARS rules for handling and tracking Government Property.
  • Maintain inventory records in eQuip Asset Tracking software.
  • Ensure proper inventory and inspection for receipt is performed prior to transferring assets to requestors.
  • Must be amenable to inventory control-related work as needs arise.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Inventorymanagement experience desirable, but not necessary for a trainable candidate.

  • Skills are required in MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel).
  • Must be able to learn database management software systems.
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be available to work in office during normaloperating hours.
  • Must be self-motivated and productive with a low degreeof direct supervision.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Location: Middletown, RI

Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)

Clearance: Secret

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Warehouse - Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Significant use of material moving equipment, which includes climbing onto and off of equipment, turning head to visually see area around equipment, using hands and feet to safely control equipment. Significant lifting of <40 lbs.; occasional lifting >40 lbs. Significant use of computers, including use of a mouse and keyboard as well as viewing computer screens. Sitting, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching and squatting on a daily basis. Work is performed in variable environmental conditions heavily influenced by weather and proximity to shipping doors. Work is also impacted by dust, noise and constant activity associated with the movements of materials and people. Personal Protective Equipment: safety shoes are required; hearing protection and safety glasses are recommended.
