This Opportunity:

• Support members of our Civil Engineering team

• Provide analysis and design of site improvements, roadways, trails, water distribution systems, sanitary and storm sewer collection systems, and drainage systems

• Prepare design construction plans and specifications, site layout, grading and drainage plans, plan and profiles, alignments, and details

• Serve as a Field Engineer during the construction of various projects

• Conducting site visits and construction progress meetings to provide the contractor guidance on the project design intent and assure construction quality

• Attending team meetings and/or client consultation meetings to understand client needs and incorporate them into design

• Managing own work activities, project team responsibilities, and communicate status of workload

• Learning new design techniques and construction capabilities to bring clients the most innovative and creative solutions

• Communicating on a consistent basis with the team and collaborating

• Being dedicated to working hard and achieving excellence in a team environment

• This opportunity is open to candidate residing in the following areas: Munster, IN

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections

• Must be local to Munster, Indiana

• Previous experience through on the job experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in use of AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, or other applicable civil design software

• Previous experience in civil engineering including municipal hydraulics, municipal road design, municipal utility design, road construction and municipal inspection

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $65,000 and $85,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
